Assessment:

There is no formal exam. Our trainers will assess each learner by observation and through professional discussion. The final part of the assessment is the completion of a test portfolio after the in-person training. Learners are required to perform Pulse tests for 3 non-identical properties and submit the results including evidence. The portfolios will be assessed by BTS technical staff.

Portfolio:

After completing the course learners are required to create a portfolio of 3 test cases using your own Pulse equipment (hire kits may be available, subject to availability).

Once completed and assessed you will receive your official certificate.

Competent Person Scheme:

Upon successful completion of the training day and the portfolio you will be eligible to join the Elmhurst Airtightness Scheme and certify buildings in your capacity as a Level 1 Airtightness tester.
