Celebrating growth in action this National Apprenticeships Week
National Apprenticeships Week is a time to recognise the value apprentices bring to businesses across the UK, and at Build Test Solutions we are proud to see first-hand the impact that investment in emerging talent can make. Over the past year, our apprentice Joseph Ashmore has embraced every opportunity to learn, contribute and grow within the business.
In what continues to be a fast-moving and challenging market, gaining exposure across multiple departments has not only developed his skills but strengthened our operations too.
Learning across the business
One of the greatest advantages of an apprenticeship is the breadth of experience it can offer and this has certainly been the case here at Build Test Solutions.
From the workshop floor to client-facing environments, Joseph has been actively involved in:
- Improving workshop layout to enhance efficiency and workflow
- Supporting and participating in our stock taking processes
- Servicing customer equipment, gaining hands-on technical experience
- Assisting with the delivery of industry conferences and events
- Developing knowledge within the accounts function
- Supporting the marketing team with reporting and analysis
Each of these areas plays a critical role in the success of the business, and understanding how they connect provides invaluable insight, particularly in today’s competitive and evolving market.
As Joseph himself puts it:
“I’m really enjoying learning about the different departments and how they all work together, especially in the current market, where understanding the bigger picture is so important. Every team has something different to teach me, and it’s been great to support multiple areas of the business and take on new challenges.”
Investing in the Future
