Sealing tape is designed to provide an airtight seal on ventilation systems including through-the-wall fan openings, ventilation spigots, cooker hoods, air bricks or any apertures that require temporary sealing for the purposes of an airtightness test.
Temporary sealing requirements are set out in table 1 of CIBSE TM23, the approved procedure for carrying out air tightness tests for the purposes of Part L and rdSAP.
The carefully selected materials offer an optimum design so it can be easily applied and removed without leaving residue. It’s green in colour so you won’t forget to take it off, unlike other clear tapes. The tape has 100mm perforations for ease of use and saves hours of time preparing buildings.
